We are excited to announce the 11th Annual Bryant J. Luxmore Golf Outing this year!
This year’s event will be Saturday, August 3rd at the Fyre Lake Golf Club, Sherrard, IL with a 9 am shotgun start.
We are working closely with the Fyre Lake course and like last year they will be handling team registrations through their website. They will again take on most of the responsibilities for the event, which makes administration of our day so much easier.
We keep looking for new and better ways to make this event an amazing day for everyone and in a way to honor and remember B.J.
Stay tuned for more on team registration through the Fyre Lake website. We will update the Outing Details page with that info in the next few weeks. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you at the course!

June 10, 2022, 10 Year Anniversary
Along a shaded path stretched across a grassy field in Fort Stewart, Georgia are more than 450 Crape Myrtle trees, each signifying the ultimate sacrifice of a soldier of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart/ Hunter Army Airfield, who served in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. It is a place representing tremendous loss yet immense honor.
Ten years ago today, our beloved Bryant earned a spot along this sacred place when he was killed in action in Panjwai, Afghanistan.
Today, at the end of a week full of sunshine and cherished memories in Hilton Head, SC, our family gathered at Fort Stewart to honor B.J. and stand together after an entire decade of navigating such a devastating loss.
What a painfully beautiful parallel our family seems to find in those Crape Myrtle trees. Each tree may stand alone, small and in a weeping form, but together they grow, creating an archway over the sidewalk known as Warrior’s Walk. Forever protected, forever connected.
For the past ten years, we have each mourned alone and in our own way, but we have also grown even stronger together during a truly trying time. Our family branches have extended further with new relationships and additions, and we take comfort in the fact that through despair and grief, love and happiness continue to show up when we need them most.
So today, Beej, we honor you. Ten years feels like yesterday and yet a lifetime ago.
And we will continue to honor you in the best way we know how— by filling our lives with the good stuff that you fought so hard to protect…family and laughter, baseball and good old country living, and so much more.
It is the greatest privilege of our lives to carry you with us, to share you with each new generation, and to love you earthside until we meet again.

September 11, 2021, Jersey Retirement
Each year on the Anniversary of 9-11, we reflect on how all of our lives were FOREVER changed as a result of that devastating day, we learn about the lives lost, their families left to grieve, the heroic efforts made by so many. We honor those we lost on that day and those we lost because of that day…those who fought to protect our country from this happening again .
This year on 9-11, Bryant was honored at the Sherrard High School with the Retirement of his #5 SHS Football jersey! What does this mean…it means he is FOREVER #5, he is FOREVER honored, he is FOREVER remembered and we are FOREVER grateful

Highway Dedication Ceremony
The scene was the New Windsor Presbyterian Church on a rainy Wednesday morning in April 2016. The overflow and standing-room crowd filled the church and fellowship hall for this historic event. This was the dedication ceremony renaming a section of Illinois State Highway 17 in honor of B.J.
The event was emceed by Illinois State Representative Don Moffitt. Also speaking was Illinois State Senator Chuck Weaver, Rev. Mark Bedford, New Windsor Mayor Mike Peterson, Dr. Brian Anseeuw, Leonard Luxmore, and others. It was a rather solemn morning as all reflected back on B.J.'s sacrifice and the sacrifices of all who have given so much to defend the freedoms that we enjoy today.

Highway to be Renamed April 27, 2016
A section of Illinois Highway 17 will soon be renamed in honor of B.J. The Illinois House and Senate have both unanimously passed a resolution that will rename part of State Highway 17 as the Cpl. Bryant J. Luxmore Memorial Highway.
This section of highway will run from the Henry/Mercer County Line to the Village of Viola. The date for the dedication ceremony will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 27th at Depot Park, New Windsor.
